Research show that historically the Human Coronavirus was associated with the common cold. Only on rare occasions the virus caused severe respiratory issues. Now the world is under heavy quarantine as thousands have died from untreatable complications from the Coronavirus. Scientist say that the main cause for viral evolution are genetically modifying organisms and point mutations.
It's reported that no genetic alterations appeared in the human coronaviruses responsible for the common cold, but the virus that caused SARS in 2003 showed signs of artificial gene rearrangement. As of today, there is speculation that COVID-19 was man-made but fake news make it hard to prove the origin of the virus.
