Fatal Injuries Due to Rising Temperature

People are no longer new to the effects of global warming. Yet, some people continue to do things that will further contribute to the negative impacts of climate change. The temperature continues to rise on different parts of the globe like the North Pole, which causes the melting of ice. The changes are evident in the environment and the climate, however, it also affects the number of injuries per year.

According to Imperial College London, the number of deaths due to injuries may increase as the temperature rises 2 degrees Celcius more. This can result in an additional 2,100 deaths, and it is quite alarming. Their research focused on fatal deaths like assaults, suicides, transport and drowning deaths. Find out more about what will happen with the continuous rise in temperature.
