Drug misuse is one of the on-going problems in our society. Over the years, a new type of drug is being used in this activity. Cocaine, heroin, and opioids are the most common among them. People become more alarmed as it can lead to even more severe problems. Therefore, people of different sectors in the society are also in search for ways on how to stop it.
A study conducted by the University of California - San Francisco, focused on the use of opioids. It highlighted that prescription opioids are more lethal than heroin. Aside from that, a program that may help prevent patients from drug misuse, overdose, and death was discovered. This discovery may be one of the ways that will help lessen the on-going issue in our society.
