Colorectal cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths in the United States. Screening can help detect colorectal cancer earlier when treatment may be most effective. Researchers are evaluating the long-term performance of the Shield™ blood test, an FDA-approved blood-based colorectal cancer screening option for average-risk adults. This study will help researchers better understand how this screening approach performs over multiple screening intervals.
WHO MAY QUALIFY?
You May Be Eligible If You:

Are 45 to 81 years old

Are considered average risk for colorectal cancer

Are interested in colorectal cancer screening

Are willing to participate in study-related procedures

Have not had a colonoscopy within the past 9 years
You May Not Qualify If You:

Have a history of colorectal cancer

Have inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's Disease or Ulcerative Colitis)

Have a first-degree relative with colorectal cancer
-
Have certain hereditary colorectal cancer syndromes
-
Are currently receiving cancer therapies
-
Have had a positive Shield™ test in the past 3 years

Step 1: Screening
